The Couple

The god(s) of Civilization, Fertility, and Love. They appear as intertwined, luminous beings. They are generally known to be peaceful and nonviolent beings who spread prosperity and love to all. There is little information as to who the Couple were before, however the Couple’s followers attest that they were two deities from different pantheons that fell in love, but could not be together. With the destruction of the other pantheons, they were finally able to come together, and along with the other deities, they were able to create something new and better.

Divine Armaments

• Dedication and Bliss. A pair of magical rings, they are legendary artifacts created by the Couple. It is said they link the two wearers inextricably. They bestow a myriad of blessings and magical protections upon those that wear it, and some even report they are versions of the Couple’s wedding bands themselves.

Faiths and Followers of The Couple

• Libitina. The Couple is the third most popular god in Libitina. The Couple has taken over as the main love and nature god. Additionally, the Couple’s role as a god of civilization is widely revered, and they are viewed as Godric’s main helpers when it comes to building and protecting Libitina. 

• Diaspora. The Couple is considered the supreme deities of the Diaspora, with them even viewing the rest of the Pantheon as their children. The Diaspora views nothing as more important as their society and the return of fertility to their Orchard.

• Refuge. There’s very little more important to Refuge than family, due to the absorption of dwarvish culture and birdfolk flock mentality. As such, the Couple is considered to be the second most popular deity in Refuge, especially when considering the loss of the dwarves and gnomes former civilizations and culture.

• Feyborn City States. The Couple probably is the least popular god here, as much of their love and nature aspects are fully handed to Sylph. However, the Couple is still very popular, though this culture would still be considered their lowest points. The traits of Fertility, and being a family/Civilization maker and sustainer still make them a much prayed to deity. 

• Greyscale. Greyscale depicts them almost as an Oroboros like figure, two intertwined dragon like serpents, or even a two headed dragon at times. They invoke them as patrons of marriage and defenders of eggs.

• The Red Isles. As the Red Isles are constantly beset, it makes it rather difficult to build up and maintain civilizations, which makes the aid of the Couple even more important. They are particularly important to the Beastfolk, which is offset by most Tieflings not having much connection to them.

Divine Realm: The Plains of Paradise. A heavenly expanse, full of rolling pastures. It is filled with celestial versions of nature and happy homes, each one tailor made for the families of souls that live within.

The Couple’s Court

• Archangel Haven (Solar). A child of the couple, a being of pure love and joy. Serves as the archangel of the Couple and the leader of their heavenly choirs.
